Pre Straighteners
These machines can take the material from the paying-off group till the die of the drawing machine and possibly through mechanical de-scaling units (or others).
They are composed by two groups:
- The first group with rolls mounted on a vertical axis, reversed so that scales can easily fall into the collector.
- The second group is horizontal.
The power is given by an electric motor gear, connected through a clutch that allows to free the rolls when the material has been engaged into the die; then the rolls are always in contact with the material, but free to follow the speed of the drawing machine.
